Nepal Tourism participate BIT Milan

BIT 2013, one of the greatest tourism fairs of Italy held every year in Milan ended  with much optimism amidst the recession witnessed in Europe.
The fair was held from 14 to 17th of February  and four companies from Nepal had participated under the flagship of Nepal Tourism Board.

The first two days were meant for business people only and last two days were allocated for general visitors.Though the general feedback of the incoming participants said that there were less visitors this time however, Nepal stand remained busy with their curiosity and for retrieving the promotional materials.  It seemed that the host of the Italians are more interested in Cultural tourism than the adventure as apparent  amongst the other European countries.

The deep seated inquisitiveness to know about the tradition and history amongst the Italians was visible by herds of question posed by them to the operators. And, Mr. Aditya Baral, Director of Nepal Tourism Board, who was one amongst the others to participate in the same fair opines "BIT could be one the great bridge to reach among the Italians if pre and post promotional programs could be carried on synchronizing this event and seeing the prospect subject to interest manifested by the Nepali travel agents, if  sky is the limit". Mr. Paolo Nugari, Nepal Tourism Board's Honorary Representative, one of the Italy's largest outbound tour operators and Honorary Consul of Nepal to Italy also helped to the best  by networking and attending the fair throughout.

Nepal Tourism Board had promoted in Indore and Surat in the past but in Rajkot it is the first time Nepal Tourism Board has tried to woo the potential tourists travelling to Nepal.

In each city, Nepal Tourism Board and the tour operators presented the wide range of tourism attractions, products and services to the potential tour operators. Nepali tour operators and all prominent tour operators in the respective cities took part in the B2B sessions in order to renew the old connections as well as to initiate new business relationships. It is learnt that South East Asian destinations are also vying for their share with tailor-made packages at competitive prices.

Recently, the state of Gujarat has seen a spree of investment from the Non-Resident Indians in their cities of origins which has given a boost to the already growing economy.
