Ubhouli festival is celebrated by Kirat, Rai and Limbu
ethnic groups during the farming season which falls in the month of
April/May. It is celebrated to worship the land and the nature with a
“Seuli” (which is a small tree branch full of leaves). The literal definition
of Ubhouli is the migration of animals and birds towards higher cooler
northern region. Festival shows the interrelation of people and environment.
