Such trainings and workshop have been conducted over the past 10 years with the aim to strengthen the capacity of the trekking professional, which in turn will have an immense impact on sustainable in Nepal. Over the years, KEEP has trained more than 2500 tourism professionals (as guides, porters, cooks, and lodge owners) with an active involvement in organizing activities and program targeted at enhancing and strengthening their capacities on sensitive issues towards the goal of raising the standard of tourism in Nepal.
In addition, KEEP has been very successful in working towards multidisciplinary development of communities that are tourism based. The Community Development Program is one such multidimensional program which provides opportunity for international volunteers to assist community through development programs.
